The Mathus is Peugeot's two-prong extractor — the right tool for an older cork that a screw would shred. Two thin blades slide between the cork and the glass; a steady pull with a quarter-turn lifts the cork out intact.

Equally useful for retrieving a cork that has been pushed into the neck or broken mid-pour. Supplied with a contemporary ABS protective case. Made in France.

How to use

Insert both blades between the cork and the bottleneck. Pull steadily upward while rotating to ease the cork free.
