Why would you shop with Muffet & Louisa?
After 34 years of happy retail with larger stores and lots of staff, we now have a small but mighty staff in a tiny store. Everything we choose has to fall into our choice of small, beautiful luxuries. Our offerings must be well made, beautiful or functional – or both. We source as much from Canadian makers as we can, some of it local to Vancouver Island.
How can you find more information and choice of bedlinens and down?
The bedlinens we carry are all milled in Italy, Portugal or Germany, using Egyptian cotton or for one line, “Supima” (a blend of Egyptian and Pima) cotton from the USA. All our down products and most of our bedlinens are made Canada, our flannel in Germany and Designer Guild designed in England, sewn in Portugal.
It is very hard to know the feel and texture of fabric, or the glorious loft of a well-made duvet on a website page, but we are always happy to chat with you by phone or online. What are the international taxes, duties etc that you might have to pay?
We ship by Canada post to addresses in the United States. Duties and taxes will vary depending on where you live. No Canadian taxes are applicable to your order
Does Muffet & Louisa offer free shipping?
We will ship free to you for any order over CDN$200. Shipping of $16.95 will be added to orders under $200. We will express ship for $30.00 to Canadian addresses other than those in Northwest Territories, Nunavut and the Yukon Territories.
What shipping methods are available?
Muffet & Louisa will ship Monday to Friday by Canada Post. We will provide tracking numbers at time of shipment and keep an eye on shipped parcels at our end. Customers from the United States will pay no tax at time of purchase but will be responsible for their own State and Federal taxes and duties at the time of delivery. We are unable to track parcels once they have crossed the border so ask our customers to do so from their end.
How long will my parcel take to get to me?
In general, your order will ship (or be ready for pickup) within one business day of being placed. We will let you know approximated time of delivery when we ship to you. In situations where there will be a delay, you will be notified by phone or email
Does Muffet & Louisa ship internationally?
We will normally ship to Canada and the continental USA only but if you would like to order from outside North America – please contact us and we will discuss shipping possibilities with you.

How do I place an Order?

How Can I Cancel Or Change My Order?
An email sent to email@example.com is the quickest and easiest way to reach us.
Do I need an account to Order Online?
Please make yourself an account to give us all your relevant information. If you would like us to ship to an address other than that on your account, please let us know at the time of the specific order.
How Do I Track My Order?
Muffet & Louisa currently ships by Canada Post to Canada and the United States only. We are happy to send you your Canada Post tracking number once your order has been shipped.
How Can I Return a Product?
We hope that you will be happy with your purchase but if not, please let us know by email to firstname.lastname@example.org . We will receive returns of items still in perfect salable condition The cost of the return shipping (unless previously discussed with us) is at the customer’s expense and we ask that you request a Return Authorization number from us before you return your parcel.
If your return is an exchange only, your return shipping will be refunded to you by Muffet & Louisa when we send you your replacement item.
What to do if your order is damaged on arrival
